There is nothing as good as playing poker at a real poker table with a professional croupier dealing you the winning cards, handling the chips and the attention from the casino staff. this is the feeling that I get every time I visit the casino for real. When I play online poker at home, I now have to have it set like the real casino. I have mygreen baize cloth covering my table that my laptop sits on, to give it a little more authenticity to the touch. Unfortunately the wife wont dress up like a waitress, so you cant have everything, But she will bring me a beer every now and then.
A lot of the online poker sites I have visited in the past have that nice casino music playing in the background to add to the atmosphere, so I turn the volume up ton my computer, to really make me feel like I am in the room.
I have recently been inviting more friends around to enjoy this experience, now that everyone has a laptop we all log on wirelessly and play in many of the competitions and tournaments you can get involved in online. We sometimes even get paired in the same tournament and do sometimes use this to our advantage with us being in the same room.
